STARTTS and Friends of STARTTS
http://www.startts.org Friends of STARTTS (FOS) is an Australian registered charity and partner organisation for Triumphant! International which supports the work of the NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS). STARTTS helps refugees deal with their past experiences and build a new life in Australia. They also work with other organisations and individuals to help them work more effectively with refugees.
ALIVThe Australian League of Immigration Volunteers (ALIV) is an entirely volunteer-run organization that works to improve the lives of children and families with Bridging Visas and those living in Community Detention; as well as adults and children living inside Immigration Detention Centres.
The United Nations Association of AustraliaThe United Nations Association of Australia reaffirms the critical importance of the UN and urges the Australian Government to strengthen its support. UNAA offers members the opportunity to be involved in the wide range of issues that confront the United Nations and Australia: from human rights to peacekeeping, from greenhouse gases to clean water. Racism, No way!The Racism. No way! website aims to assist Australian schools and education systems to recognise and address racism in the learning environment. The project, a national initiative of education systems across Australia, provides a number of anti-racism resources for school communities including resources for teachers and students.
40k HomeThe 40K Home Foundation is a small non-profit organization, based in Sydney, Australia. Our mission is to raise sums of AUD$40 000 to build new orphanages in Asia and the Pacific so that less fortunate children have housing facilities. Providing these basic necessities equips the children to pursue more important things in life, such as education. Saber BaluchSaber’s website focuses on cultural, literary and artistic subjects from Baluchistan. The website is in three languages (Baluchi, Dari and English) and is going to have more interesting topics in the future.
